rifle season

my coach gave to me

one chance to flee.

 

On the second day of

rifle season

my coach gave to me

two pulled shots

and one chance to flee.

 

On the third day of

rifle season

my coach gave to me

three boxes of ammo,

two pulled shots

and one chance to flee.

 

On the four day of

rifle season

my coach gave to me

four hours of driving,

three boxes of ammo,

two pulled shots

and a one chance to flee.

 

On the fifth day of

rifle season

my coach gave to me

five broken rifles,

four hours of driving,

three boxes of ammo,

two pulled shots

and a one chance to flee.

 

On the sixth day of

rifle season

my coach gave to me

six hours on the bus five broken rifles,

four hours of driving,

three boxes of ammo,

two pulled shots

and a one chance to flee.

 

On the seventh day of

rifle season

my coach gave to me

seven shot tacks,

six hours on the bus,

five broken rifles,

four hours of driving,

three boxes of ammo,

two pulled shots

and a one chance to flee.

 

On the eighth day of

rifle season

my coach gave to me

eight varsity shooters,

seven shot tacks,

six hours on the bus,

five broken rifles,

four hours of driving,

three boxes of ammo,

two pulled shots

and a one chance to flee.

 

On the ninth day of

rifle season

my coach gave to me

nine trips to Ossos

eight varsity shooters,

seven shot tacks,

six hours on the bus,

five broken rifles,

four hours of driving,

three boxes of ammo,

On the tenth day of

rifle season

my coach gave to me

ten annoying teammates

nine trips to Ossos,

eight varsity shooters,

seven shot tacks,

six hours on the bus,

On the eleventh day of

rifle season

eleven missing gloves,

ten annoying teammates,
