Jefferson-Morgan Centennial Lions Club has selected Taylor Burnfield as its student of the month for September.

A daughter of Ronnie and Jodie Burnfield of Jefferson, Burnfield is a senior at Jefferson-Morgan High School where she maintains a 4.43 GPA.

Burnfield serves as president of both the National Honor Society and Spanish Club. She is vice president of student council. She is a member of Leo club, debate team, science olympiad, envirothon, SADD, and a four year letterman of Waynesburg rifle team.

Burnfield placed 3rd at the 2020 WPIAL individual rifle competition and 9th at the 2020  PIAA individual state rifle competition.

Burnfield races dirt bikes at National Enduros, AWRCS, and NECXC races.

After high school, she plans to attend West Virginia University and major in business.
