Junior year is the year where you basically have to get your stuff together.  I know that since we’re junior we don’t have to know what college where going to or even if we’re going to do, but it’s always a good idea to know ahead of time. Juniors only have one more year left at Jefferson Morgan then basically we’re on our own.  Yes some students like me and others got into a program to help us out with college. Mrs Hollarn is the one in charge who sees us monthly. She will ask us about what college we would like to go to and even if our career would like to be. This whole program started 8th grade in Mrs Olson room.

See I’m still stuck in this stage where I don’t know what college to go to or even if I want to go. My dream career of going to college to be a Vet is out of question now so I’m pretty bummed. It’s not always a bad idea for us juniors to go to our dream college to look around. It’s better to have an idea then not to. College will check all of our previous grade point averages from 9th through 11th, but 11th is the year they really are looking at.

It’s never a bad idea to take a foreign language class in high school. It also a good idea to plan out the classes you might need in order to go to the college you want. Take all the science, English, and other classes that are required. Just know that college isn’t for everyone so it’s okay not to go. College isn’t made for everyone so don’t force it upon yourself.
