For anyone who isn’t aware of what body modification is, here a little description. Body modification (or body alteration) is the deliberate altering of the human anatomy or human physical appearance. People will have their opinions on why? Why would someone do such a thing to their body? Well I can fully answer that but it is a way for people to be different.  For me, it’s like an accomplishment. It burns and hurts really bad; but then after you put the plug in after a stretch, you just say wow” I can’t believe I did that”.  It’s a big accomplishment when you look at the size of your ear compared to a regular earring. It’s like testing how far you can push your body.

I personally never regret doing what I’ve done. I can look back at it and be amazed on how far I’ve came. It’s been two years since I started this journey on stretching my ears and I can’t be any happier. I also wanted to be different compared to other people and also look different as possible compared to my twin.

I can tell you this; there are pros and cons on having stretched ears. The pros are you can never have enough plugs, there are so many to choose from. They come in all kinds of different styles like metal, silicone, wood, acrylic and glass. It’s a great conversation starter so that can be a pro as well.  The cons is people will stairs me down like I’ve don’t something so bad. All attentions goes to my ears rather than my face when I speak. Also is can reflect on job interview, so it’s best to question if the job place always pierces and what not. So for anyone who is interested in doing body modifications just remember the pros and cons.
