Silver Hair Gone Wrong

Silver Hair Gone Wrong

Over the week I’ve had a hair appointment in Waynesburg at Autumn Woods. My best friend, Sydney Kovach along with her sister and my sister came along with her to my appointment right after school. All day, I’ve just been waiting for school to be out so I can finally get this over with. Usually when I’m excited about something my day just drags. My appointment was at 3:15 and we got there 5 minutes early. My stylist didn’t arrive until after 3:20. I wanted to get the silver hair that’s been trending everywhere!

My stylist was complimenting my hair saying how long and healthy it is. I didn’t really think my hair was actually healthy due to how much I would dye it every month or so. I didn’t really want to get my hair cut but my split ends had split ends so therefor I had no choice. First, he brushed out my knotty hair then he started putting bleach on sections of my hair. I had to get about 30 foils in my hair since I have tons of hair.  After all the foils were in, I had to sit under the heating chair for 25 minutes. My stylist then took out all my foils and I was shocked just to see how my hair looked. I never had light and bright hair, it was overwhelming. My hair got rinsed out, and then my roots got dyed black with a little trim. The second step was to get the silver in.

My stylist used titanium and smokey ash grays in my hair. I was so excited to see the results as I was under the heating chair ago. I had to sit again for 25-30 minutes.  My hair got rinsed out again and had got 3 different hair products in for the wash. I walked back to the chair and he then started blow drying and styling my hair. The last step was the reveal of my hair. My expectations were so high and I knew it would great. But I was wrong; my hair wouldn’t take the grey. I was so devastated; I didn’t know what to think. My stylist was a little disappointed but was nice enough to have me come back this week to fix it up and try again or try something else.
