Searching for a Lesson

As the third nine weeks rolls on, I tend to look back on the year as a whole. I really do not even realize that I am a junior before I become a senior. Personally, I feel that I am never caught up with time. It is really hard for me to imagine that two seasons of sports have already gone by. Yes, guaranteed there have been some slow days even weeks, but altogether this year has flown by. So, I have made a promise to myself that no matter the day I will find a lesson or a positive outlook on it.

One way I believe I can do that, is to complain less. Many students get mad by simple problems when that is not necessary. Instead of getting upset over that a test is coming up, work hard that entire week so the test is simple. Try to be prepared for any situation that might happen, so it is easy to push through. Having a peaceful conscience leads to happiness, so staying calm is the best action someone could try and pursue.

Another way to learn a lesson is to think about everything that happened that day. If it was a sad day, think about every little thing that had made someone happy that day. Someone could potentially learn to care for others more through their own sadness. If it was a frustrating day, wonder how someone learns patience. If someone was irritating calm down, and settle with conversation, instead of cruel words.

Lastly, try to do something every day that makes you happy. Personally, I deluge in reading or watching some of my favorite shows. That way, at the end of the day I can go sleep happily. Having a good rest is always important and can affect someone’s mood when they wake up. In this, the next day could be better or even equal to the happiness from the previous day. I think as long as your happy, then that is part of what making each moment means.
