My Final Farewell

Sports+Junky

For anyone that knows me, sports are my thing. I am one of those crazy sports maniacs that live off the thrill and adrenaline of games. I have had a ball in my hands since the day I found out how fun they were to chew on. That girl that can throw a spiral better than the guys and gets picked first for gym class basketball, yeah that is me. For someone who hates running, basketball is my pride and joy. It brings happiness into my life, but is also the cause for a lot of stress. Sometimes it is like the team is suiting up for a football game with how physical games are. Through all the struggle and adversity, my love for basketball is endless. The goals that I have reached as well as goals for the future are what keep my excitement through the roof. I am what people call a “sports junky,” or someone that eats, sleeps and breaths sports.

After years of practice, training, conditioning, lifting, AAU seasons, 3-on-3 tournaments and camps throughout my basketball career, it has been a journey of a lifetime. Without the coaching and the support that I receive, my sports ability would be nowhere near where it is today. Sports, me for, is everything. It is a reason to come to school and to create life-long memories with people who share the same love for sports as I do. Playing sports is so much more than just winning, but winning is a big part of it.
