Veterans Day Parade

The town of Waynesburg will hold their annual Veterans Day Parade on November 7 at 10:30 a.m. The parade is sponsored by the Veterans Council of Greene County.

All participates will lineup at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church on West High Street in Waynesburg. The parade will begin on West High Street and continue to the Greene County Courthouse. Marshal John “Buzz” Walters, A World War II United States Marine Corps veteran, will lead the parade.

There will be a program on the courthouse steps following the parade, led by Patrick Finch. Michael Belding, a retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel will serve as guest speaker.

The James L. Farrell Post 330 Ladies Auxiliary is providing food and refreshments directly following the program for all veterans and the public.

At the First Baptist Church, the Rotary Club will hold a pancake breakfast before the parade from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The breakfast will cost $6 for adults and $3 for children and all funds will go towards the Rotary Club.
