In our generations more and more people seem to be forgetting simple manners.

For example the other day I was talking to one of my friends and I was waiting for her response, but when I looked at her she was just staring down at her phone. When I had finally gotten her attention it turns out that she had not heard a single word that I had said. Our generation needs to learn that it’s not okay to be looking down at your phone, or anywhere else, while someone is speaking to you. It rude and makes the other person think that you just don’t care about them and what they are trying to talk about.

Another example is when your friend or someone that you know comes to pick you up for something they no longer go knock on your door they just send you a text saying that they are outside. This is a problem because not everyone has their phone with them at all times.I know that I don’t, because before I go somewhere I usually keep my phone on the charger until I have to leave so that it does not die while I am gone.

The other day my friend and her mom came to pick me up so that we could go to the movies and I had my phone on the charger so that it did not die. I heard a knock on my door, when I opened it my friend was yelling at me because I didn’t answer my phone when she called so she had to walk the ten feet from her car to knock on my door and I thought that that was very rude.

Some people need to remember their manners because it is rude and offensive to some of the people that they are with, and I feel that people would be a lot happier than they are now if people would be polite.
