Opinions On the Election

After Tuesday November 8ths Election, protesters have expressed their opinions about President Elect Donald Trump winning.

There have been riots in many different states, cities and towns; they are burning the American flag and people stepping on the flag, and many saying that Donald Trump is not their president.

The riots occurring are in New York, there were as many as 5,000 people protesting/rioting in New York, police estimated. Protesters are yelling about immigration and other topics Mr. Trump has talked about while campaigning. “He said he feared Trump will support stronger stop-and-frisk policies that would put many people in prison. He was worried that Trump’s victory would embolden sexist views,” (CNN).

Many other protest were largely Democrat and took place  in big cities like; Atlanta, Austin, Texas, Boston,  Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia, Portland, Oregon,  San Francisco, Seattle and Washington.

In Portland, Oregon people were caught on tape burning the American Flag. At first the protest was quiet and controlled. Footage has come to the surface of activists setting tiers and rubbish bins on fire, blocking main roads and lighting flares.

There was a report of  a young student has reportedly been hit by an SUV and severely injured during a march in Berkeley, California, and one witness claiming the crash was intentional.

After Protesters have expressed their opinions about the results of the election, it has seems to be okay.
