Doing well in high school is one of the most important things a person needs to do in life. High school is a foundation for learning that carries a person on throughout college as well as a future career. Doing well in high school academics will prepare a student for what their future holds for them.

When people think of high school, there is a good number of people who simply view it as a waste of time. High school may be annoying, irritating and almost impossible to like, but behind all the negativity, it is actually very important. Slacking off even one grade of high school stays with a person forever. Middle school students and freshmen look at high school in a negative way, hating it. Looking at school this way will take all the motivation out of a student.  A person’s academic records and history carries on throughout college and anywhere looking to hire a person for a job. Grades determine whether or not a person gets into a decent college. Although students may not realize it now, taking their time in high school seriously will pay off in the long run in a positive way.

Not everyone has the same motivation as others but just pushing to do the best can make even the slightest difference. In the long run, it will not be a regretted decision, a person may even thank themselves.
