Last week the Elementary Student Council along with the help of Mrs. Lisa Moore held a food drive to donate to Jefferson-Morgans Weekend Food Program. The Jefferson-Morgan Weekend Food Program (WFP) is a program that benefits students in our Elementary and Middle/High school.

The students of the Elementary were asked to bring in food donations and turn them into the student council which was located in the front lobby each morning from 8:00 until 8:30! Each child who donated received a ticket and was entered into the drawing for the prizes throughout the week.

Here is a list of items the students were asked to bring in; pasta canned (ravioli, etc), soup canned, Ramen soup or Cup O’ Soup, individual packed raisins, craisins, or other dried fruit, pop tarts, milk (shelf stable only such as Hershey’s), cereal (individual bowls/cups/pouches), individual fruit cups, juice boxes (bottles/pouches), pudding cups, Jell-O gelatin cups, bagged grahams, bagged microwave popcorn, breakfast bars (cereal, Nutri-Grain), oatmeal (instant, flavored), peanut butter (individual cups), snack chips (pretzels, sun chips, etc), macaroni and cheese (cups or box), and a few more items.
