On Thursday night, December 8th, the middle and high school choir performed various Christmas and winter-themed songs for Light Up Night.

The concert took place in the Jefferson-Morgan high school auditorium. The middle school sang alone first, opening with “Jingle Bell Rock”. They were then joined by the high school choir for “Winter With You” and “The Christmas Song”, all in which were conducted by choir teacher Christina Colebank.

“I think that this year’s Christmas concert was arranged better compared to last year’s.” Katarina Martin said.

Following the indoor show, the high school choir, featuring Grace Black, Cassandra Berry, Chris Palone, and Abbie Woods collectively sang “All Through The Night” together outside with Ms. Colebank for the tree lighting, which was presented with a countdown. It took a few tries, but it all worked out in the end.

“The high school choir singing outside for the tree lighting was very unique, and I liked it a lot.” said Elisabeth Hollerich.

The entire show was recorded and will be presented to the choir students during their respective class periods.
