Jefferson-Morgan Centennial Lions Club has selected Samuel Settie as its student of the month for May.
Son of Christine Settie, Settie is a senior at Jefferson-Morgan High School where he maintains a 4.15 GPA.
Settie is an honor roll student, a member of National Honor Society, Debate Team, and SADD. He is a four-year member of the basketball team.
He was an Academic Excellence Award Finalist for The Challenge Program.
Settie volunteers at Catnip Acres Adoption Site. He has collected donations for White Can Day through the Jeffeson-Morgan Centennial Lions Club, and he has particpated in a food drive at Raico’s Greenhouse.
In the fall, Settie plans to earn a bachelor’s degree in computer science from either Penn State University or the University of Pittsburgh.
