On December 8th, Jefferson-Morgan High School held their annual Light Up Night which was from 6 to 8 PM.

Light Up Night is a night to bring the community together during the holidays. At Light Up Night, there are activities for both adults and kids to enjoy. Some of these activities include face painting, cookie decorating, and a hot chocolate stand. Within the building, it is nicely decorated with lights and crafty snowflakes made by various students which fits the seasonal theme.

“I really enjoyed face painting” said Lacey Ryan.

Along with Light Up Night, the Jefferson-Morgan Middle/High School holds their winter concert. However, after the concert, all of those in attendance are invited outside to watch the lighting of the Christmas tree which was decorated by students.

”I am so thankful for the strong community we have and the way we came together to conquer any event or challenge! Light up night would not be possible without the local businesses, the local organizations, vendors, and last but certainly not least, our amazing students and staff members.” says Kaileigh Coneybeeer, a major organizer of the event.

Light Up Night was truly a success for both the school and community.
