    A Final Farewell
    May 24, 2017

Last week, a new addition was made to Jefferson-Morgan. This was the addition of Rocket Logos around various parts of the school such as the business office, Stairwell and the elevator to name a few. These logos were cut and installed by Mr. Orr, painted by Mr. Lesko’s students and Wyatt Jobe cut lettering out for the business office.

These logos were put up for three reasons. First to show that JM is changing for the better, make it easier for visitors to locate the district offices and to reinforce the already existing school spirit. Other logos were put up in high traffic areas where Mr. Orr knew that kids and staff would consistently be at and see. The official name of these rockets are the “School Symbols” and they took Mr. Orr and his team of students approximately two days to make these amazing creations.

When asked to Mr. Orr if he planned to put up any more logos, he said “Yes, if they would contribute to the positive atmosphere we are trying to develop.” Also asked to Mr. Orr if the school district plans to continue doing things to improve the quality of life around the school, he replied with “Yes we want the school to be a great place to be, a place for our students and staff to take price and feel good about. As long as that is respected we will continue to push for improvements.
