Jessie Wei – Athlete Biography
Jessie Wei is a sophomore and a member of the JM volleyball team.
Jessie wears #16, and this is her second year playing for the high school although she has been playing volleyball for 4 years. “I like game days and making memories with my team,” said Wei.
Volleyball is Jessie’s favorite sport and she gets to start sometimes. She is hoping to make the varsity team this year. She also wants to work on getting better on her serves and passes.
Some of her main strengths are being aggressive, communicating, and passing. When asked about what she feels like she needs to improve in she said, “serving and serve receiving”.
If she could give any advice to underclassmen it would be “always show up to practice and go to as many open gyms/opportunities to play as you can. Practicing is key to getting better”.
A successful season for Jessie would for be the team to make it to playoffs. She would also like to defeat our school rival Carmichaels.
