Josh Wise is a sophomore and a member of the boys junior varsity and varsity basketball team.

Wise starts on the JV team but not varsity. Wise has been playing basketball since 3rd grade and hopes to continue his career through both high school and college.

“All my friends played and it grew on me,” said Wise. “So, after the first time of trying it I never stopped.”

Wise enjoys playing basketball due to the competitive game it brings and the bragging rights he gets if the team brings home a win.

“It is competitive game and if you win you have bragging rights,” Wise said.

Wise plays small forward and has three numbers 10 at home, 21 for away, and 15 for varsity. Wise says the season is going great and that he gets along with all his teammates.

“Small forward is a good position for me because I am fast and strong,” said Wise.

Wise’s goal this year is to have over 100 points and try to be his best on the court.
