Autumn Gustovich is a senior and a 4 year Letterman for Varsity Girls Basketball.

Gustovich is a power forward and is a starter for the team. She has become a keystone of the team for her reliability and teamwork abilities. Gustovich has played the sport for 11 years and is said to see it come to an end.

“To be honest, I’m looking forward to Senior Night out of all things,” said Gustovich “but I want to be able to look back on all the good times and fond memories and smile.”

Gustovich is a reliable source of points for the team but she also understands the value and importance of cohesion in gametime situations. This is one of the factors that go into Ben Simmons being her favorite player because of his utility and playmaking prowess.

“It’s amazing to watch someone on that level not being self-centered,” said Gustovich ”I try to mimic his style of play and most times it goes pretty well.”

For an athlete, the coach can either make or break a players experience and this time was no different. Gustovich is very happy with the coaching staff and thinks they are doing the best they can with what they got.

“Olsen is the best person ever, she never falls to encourage us,” said Gustovich “and Virgin is the more find the problem and fix it now type of coach.”

Basketball has it series of ups and downs but every athlete has their happiest moment and Gustovich is no different.

“I would have to say that my happiest moment is beating Mapletown by 1,” said Gustovich”after Abby Ankrom swished a halfcourt buzzerbeater.”

The season has not gone well for the Lady Rockets but Gustovich is hopeful for an end of season clean up and ending with 7 or 8 wins. She hopes to leave behind a strong foundation for the players coming up.

“Just work hard and never give up even when you want to the most.” said Gustovich.

The Lady Rockets will have a tough end of the season but Gustovich is confident in her team’s ability to come away with a few more wins
