As human beings, we experience a wide variety of both positive and negative emotions. The positive emotions are never expected to be the most dangerous, but in reality they can sometimes be worse than the negative emotions.

Happiness is an amazing feeling that we all strive for. The problem with happiness is the fact that when it becomes habitual to be happy, it is hard to handle a situation where happiness is not present. When a person gets used to dopamine flooding their brain, that person constantly looks for ways to keep that feeling. Happiness quite literally can be a natural high that people will try to attain by doing various things that can even reach extremes. Happiness is not quite always a bad thing, but it can lead to some very bad actions being taken. In fact, happiness is great, but that does not make it any less dangerous.

Many people often use the phrase “love hurts”. However, this is not quite true. It is not love that hurts, it is the rejection, guilt, sadness, and jealousy that hurts. These emotions are often confused with love because they usually accompany love. In reality, love is one of the few things in this world that does not hurt. Love is dangerous, but that does not make it a bad thing. Many great emotions are usually the most dangerous because they constantly have a person looking for that feeling when they lose it. These positive emotions are usually perceived as negative because of the loss of that feeling.

People need to recognize the differences between these positive and negative feelings. Though the positive feelings are dangerous, it does not make them a bad thing.
