Being in Leo Club is a big responsibility. Recently the Jefferson Morgan Leo Club wrote letters to women fighting breast cancer. I loved doing this activity, I even wrote more than one letter. We even did roadside clean up, it was gross but well worth it. At the end of doing these tasks, I got a warm feeling in my heart because it felt good to help. Around Christmas time we do the Angel Tree event that we get a child to buy Christmas gifts for. A few friends and I stayed extra to wrap gifts. Our Leo Club will usually meet like once or twice a month after school to discuss our next task.

“My favorite part about Leo Club is helping the less fortunate. I loved buying gifts for little kids so they had something to open on Christmas Morning,” said Brooke Weir.

Since I have only been in Leo Club for one year, I don’t know a whole lot, but I have learned a good amount. I really enjoy helping others and my community. After high school, I will continue to do community service at local places. I encourage all high school students to really think about joining Leo Club. It will benefit you in many ways from college to real life qualities.
