Two gunshots ringing,

On the third day of deer season
My blind gave to me:
Three frostbitten fingers,
Two gunshots ringing,
And a squirrel in an oak tree.
On the fourth day of deer season
My blind gave to me:
Four turkeys gobbling,
Three frostbitten fingers,
Two gunshots ringing,
And a squirrel in an oak tree.
On the fifth day of deer season
My blind gave to me:
Five twigs snapping,
Four turkeys gobbling,
Three frostbitten fingers,
Two gunshots ringing,
And a squirrel in an oak tree.
On the sixth day of deer season
My blind gave to me:
Six bullets jingling,
Five twigs snapping,
Four turkeys gobbling,
Three frostbitten fingers,

My blind gave to me:
Seven doe’s hopping,
Six bullets jingling,

Eight degree weather,
Seven doe’s hopping,
