Preston Wood Named Jefferson-Morgan Centennial Lions Club October Student of the Month
Jefferson Morgan Centennial Lions Club has selected Preston Wood as its October student of the month.
Son of Jimmy and Jaime Wood of Waynesburg, Wood is a senior at Jefferson-Morgan High School where he maintains a 4.35 GPA. He attends Calvary Baptist Church.
Wood is president of National Honor Society, president of SADD, and he serves as the secretary/treasurer of the Class of 2023. Wood is a member of Leo Club, Debate team, and library club. He also plays basketball.
Wood volunteers for events that support Colby’s Stars Foundation. He has also volunteered for the Keep America Beautiful roadside cleanup program through Leo Club.
Wood was a 2021 National Math and Science Initiative Stem Star Award recipient. He has been recognized as a Remarkable Rocket.
After graduation, Wood plans to attend Waynesburg University to study business.
