Jefferson Morgan Centennial Lions Club has selected Eric Basiorka as its student of the month for May. Basiorka is the son of Timothy and Renee Basiorka of Jefferson. Eric is a senior at Jefferson Morgan High School where he maintains a 4.25 GPA.
Basiorka volunteers at the Jefferson Baptist Church food pantry and at the Mapletown’s Methodist Church bible camp. He is president of National Honor Society, president of the Foreign Language Club, and is an editor for the Rocket Reporter. Basiorka has been honored twice by the Penn State 4.0 Club.
After graduation, Basiorka will attend Slippery Rock University where he plans to study Secondary Education English.
