As many riders know, there is proper gear to wear while dirtbiking. Some riders often ask what they should wear when it inclement weather threatens their dirtbiking adventures. Simple things like hoodies, warm pants, winter socks, and other heavy clothing can save the adventure.

Wearing a hoodie can save plenty of riders from getting cold. Whether it is rain, snow, freezing temperatures, frozen mud or ice, a hoodie can keep a rider warm and cozy. While the rider is riding, they are constantly moving around keeping themselves active causing them to sweat and warm up. So not only does the hoodie keep the rider warm but wearing a hoodie while riding ensures the rider that they will be kept warm. Heavier gloves can also come in handy when riding in cold temperatures. This can solve the problem of having numb fingers. Different riders have different opinions but one of the most important pieces of clothing for riding in inclement weather is warm socks. Trying to ride with numb feet is borderline impossible. Not being able to feel the toes or the entire foot is miserable when trying to shift and use the brake pedal. Keeping the feet warm can save a rider from possible accidents. If the rider’s toes and feet are numb they can’t feel the impact when they hit a stump or a rock. The rider could easily break a toe or severely sprain the foot without even feeling it because it is numb. Breaking a foot with it being numb will probably be noticeable but a broken toe definitely does not have a feeling with numb feet. Socks are key to riding in inclement weather, just for the sake of being able to feel the foot an toes on the inside of the riders boot.

Those are some ways riders can stay warm in inclement ranging from the intensity of the weather and bitterness of the temperatures. A simple hoodie and warm socks can make a huge difference when riding in inclement weather. Warm gloves can also help out the rider.
