Job searching has been a struggle these past couple months for me.  I’ve applied to so many jobs that it’s ridiculous. It’s kind of hard to find a decent job that is close by, Waynesburg and Carmichaels are the closest me to at least. I know that theirs Dry Tavern but there’s only a couple of places to work since certain stores sell tobacco and being under the age of 18 its limited. Giant Eagle is the main place everyone is trying to apply to but since it’s so local it takes a long time to hear back and you’re lucky to get an interview there. Giant Eagle is just a hard place to hire since its the closest store nearby.

Just yesterday I got a call back from Dairy Queen offering me to get an interview. I’m pretty excited for the most part because I really want a job and something to do after school. Then there is a part of me that nervous because I’m kind of shy around other people. But hey it’s all worth it in the end because I’ll be getting that paycheck so it’s a win win for me.

The only down fall for me is my jobs are limited since I don’t drive. I should have been driving by now but I haven’t gotten my permit so it’s kind of a letdown. Most of my paycheck will have to go towards gas money. Then hopefully my paycheck will go towards a car. I just really hope I get this job because I want to be able to have my own money instead of asking all the time. I want to have the responsible of taking care of my needs and buy whatever I want whenever I want.
