Every rider out there has had to adjust the parts on their bike to fit them. Whether they are a new rider or an expert, they have had to adjust their levers and components to their certain need at one point in time and adjusting their parts is simple but little adjustments can make a huge difference.

Levers are one of the most important parts a rider can adjust. Levers determine how the rider will stand on the bike and how the rider will use the bike going into turns. Most riders will have their levers facing down towards the ground so that way while they are standing up the levers are easy to pull. Another reason riders will adjust their levers is because of turns. When a ride goes into a turn they are normally close to the ground and sometimes the bar drags the ground. Having the levers adjusted at a correct height will prevent them from getting caught in the dirt but that also is a part of whether or not the rider can go into a turn right.

Adjusting other components like the throttle needs to be much more precise. Adjusting the throttle will change the bike entirely because adjusting the throttle means the rider will be adjusting when the bike will start to take off or when the bike will start to hit the top rpm. Having a fast throttle response is ideal for woods riding because woods riders tend to need the bike to respond as fast as possible so that way a log or a rock that is in the way becomes a very easy obstacle to get over. Supercross riders also need a fast throttle response so that way when they come out of a turn they can build up the speed before hitting the face of a jump.

Levers and throttle response are key parts to the bikes function and without them the bike wouldn’t work. Riders know that having the correct lever height and the right throttle response will make their ride much more easier and a lot more comfortable.
