Baseball season is here, this is the time of year everyone loves. All the fans are breaking out their favorite team’s gear to support them and cheer them on. The baseball caps are coming back out and the weather is getting warmer.

The 2016 Major League Baseball season began on April 3^rd. The Pirates began their season with a 4-1 win beating the Cardinals. The Pirates win over Cardinals was also their home opener. The Pirates had a great start to their season. PNC Park is home of the Pirates and is considered one the nicest parks in baseball. The park has a beautiful view of the Allegheny River and the Pittsburgh skyline. The Pirates are ranked number 2 in the MLB for their hitting, number 10 for their pitching and number 29 for their fielding. With many star players and an outstanding ranking for hitting on the Pirates team, fans are hoping for a great season for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
