The sun has begun to shine and the temperatures are rapidly raising. This means one thing for wrestling fans, Greene County Wrestling is on its way back. There have already been two episodes of the upstart company, and they have barely scratched the surface in terms of entertainment, match quality, and nonstop action. For those who missed last season, let’s catch you up on all the storylines that you need to know if you’re a true GCW fan.

Last season, fans were introduced to all of the company’s talent and a champion was even crowned. Alex Anthony became the first ever GCW World Champion on the very first episode. However, his celebration was cut short by the likes of his brick house of an opponent Okodemah and villainous general manager, Solomon Price. In the installment after, the man known as Double A retained his title against the challenging Damian Alexander in a no disqualification match. After losing, Alexander joined the likes of Price and Okodemah to give Anthony yet another beating. It will be interesting to see how Price and company will strike next and what extremes he will go to in an attempt to get the championship off of Alex Anthony.

Not only is there action brewing in the title picture, but Adam Brooks is demanding respect from the entire locker room. After being defeated on a roll up in episode one by Jamie Duke, Brooks attacked his foe. He then threatened to do the same to a debuting Al Deeds in the next episode if he didn’t get a rematch against Duke. Solomon Price granted a rematch that will take place on the return episode on GCW, so Brooks will have an opportunity for revenge.

So that poses the question, what does the next season of GCW have in store? In an exclusive interview with Solomon Price, he has this to say. “This year will be even more action-packed than the first. There will be new opportunities for wrestlers both new and returning. Just be ready for a season full of excitement and twists that you will not want to miss.”

GCW is scheduled to come back in either late April or early May. Although a date is not officially established, fans are still on the edge of their seat in anticipation of Greene County’s best wrestling promotion.
