Goodbye and Farewell
For all the seniors at Jefferson-Morgan the year is coming to an end and with it the end of their time as a high school student. I am among the high school class and I will be out the doors into to the real world sooner rather than later. I’d like to take the time to say my final goodbye and relive my high school career in and out of journalism.
I was a member of the journalism team for two years, first as a contributor then as an editor. I really enjoyed writing for the Rocket Reporter, even if i wasn’t always the best about getting stuff done. It made me feel accomplished when I would finish a column or other article and get to see it posted up on the Rocket Reporter. Messing around with Eli was always good and we would spend a lot of time talking about wrestling (Which was what most of the articles i turned in were about) and getting on Mrs. Huba’s nerves.
Throughout my time in high school I have met an amazing group of people who I am lucky to call my friends. It will be sad to leave some of them behind, but a small group of us have become so close that we’re like brothers and we will stay close past our time in high school. I would also like to thank the teachers that have helped learn so much over the years and some that have inspired me to become a teacher myself and hopefully come back here.
It’s going to be sad to say goodbye, but now it’s time for me to start the next chapter in my life. I will never forget the time I spent in high school and all the memories it gave me.
