The Drama Club will perform The Addams Family: A Musical ComedyThe Drama Club has acquired the rights to perform the musical, and currently waiting to receive scripts for auditions. Auditions will be held sometime in November and the show will be around March, but these two times are subject to change.

The Addams Family (musical) is based upon The Addams Family characters that appear in the single – panel gag cartoons, which depicts a ghoulish American family with an affinity for all things macabre. After a tryout run in Chicago, the show opened on Broadway in April 2010. The Broadway production ended December 31, 2011. The production is a hit around the world as well. The United kingdom premiere of The Addams Family was announced September of this year and will open at a festival in London before embarking on a major United Kingdom tour.

“I am looking forward to put on this great show for the Jefferson – Morgan community,” said Mr. Moore, the Drama Club director. “It seems like the members are excited to perform this, and I’m already getting ideas of who should play the characters.” Moore said. “We have awhile to put together the show, but showtime will come sooner rather than later. Now is the time we need to start getting everything ready…. Its that time of the year again,” says Moore.

The Drama Club is thrilled to be performing such a well known show. Anyone interested in learning more about the Drama Club and The Addams Family should speak with Mr. Moore or any student in Drama Club.
