Coming to you live from Myrtle beach is Kayla Yorko, the catcher for the Jefferson-Morgan Softball Team. The team traveled here over this past week for the Ripken Experience Softball Tournament. We have played a total of 8 games including 2 JV games, 2 scrimmages and 4 actual games coming home with a 2-2 record.

When we are not at the softball games, we are sight-seeing as well as sun bathing on the beach or hanging out in our rooms. We are learning a lot about each other and bonding over the time spent together. The Lady Rockets faced a pitcher that committed to Alabama in the 8th grade and was clocked at 69 mph at the tournament. Needless to say, none of us got on base but some made contact with the ball.

Overall, the Ripken Experience was one of the best memories and such a fun time with the team.
