My Final Farewell
May 27, 2016

Janessa Willis is my go-to, my bestfriend, my backbone, and one of the most supportive people in my life. Her and I have been best friends for six years and nothing has changed coming to the end of senior year.  It all started in the seventh grade, when we had every class together, and continued to have classes together through all the years. When people talk to you about how they have a soul mate best friend and how they finish each other’s sentences, that is Janessa and I… Literally. She is the kind of person that could be having the worst day possible and still have a smile on her face.

Graduation is nearing and I will no longer walk on the opposite side of the halls with Janessa and complain about why people are in our way. I will miss the countless hours spent in Mrs. Huba’s room, or preferring to be in her classroom over everyone elses. She has always been my support system with sports and inside the classroom. She has spent most of her high school years listening to me complain about sports and knocking me over when I am sore.

Although going our separate ways is nearing, if there is one person that I would enjoy staying in touch with from high school, it would be with her. She is truly the definition of being a best friend and I hope that everyone experiences a friendship like ours when they go through high school.

So Janessa, when you read this, I hope you know that I truly appreciate everything you do for me. The phone calls when my world is crashing down on me, the random texts, or trips to Kennywood, I appreciate all of that. Even the little things that you do not think are important, they are to me. I am thankful for you and our friendship. You have shaped me to be the person I am today, and for that, I am eternally grateful. You are an amazing person, and I am lucky to have you in my life. Love you!
