On October 20th my nephew Wyatt Cecil DePhillips was born. Everyone in my family was very excited for Wyatt to be born. My pappy Bob was extremely happy because my brother Matthew carried on the family name. My sister Amanda has two little girls, my brother JR does not have any children and probably won’t ever have any, so when my pap heard that Matthew was having a boy he was very happy.

I was very happy to find out I was going to have another nephew. I have two nieces, (Lillian and Sophia) and before Wyatt was born, one nephew (Noah). Even though Noah isn’t a blood relative, he is still my nephew. Finding out my brother and his wife were having a kid made me very happy. I love all my nieces and nephews. Putting Wyatt into the picture was perfect, there are two girls (Lillian and Sophia) and two boys (Noah and Wyatt).

When my stepdad, Noah, and I all went to go see Wyatt for the first time I was very nervous to hold him. At first I did not want to hold him at all. When Lillian was born I was nervous to hold her too. But once I realized that the next time I see will be in about a year, I thought I should probably hold him at least once whilst I can. Something we all rather enjoyed was that Wyatt is not that much of a crier. The only time he really cries is when his blanket is taken off of him and when he is hungry. Matthew and his wife Marisol are pretty thankful that Wyatt does not cry a lot.

I love being able to say that I am an aunt to four beautiful children. I love all of them very much. My family is proud to have another DePhillips.
