For at least two weeks now I have already had all of my Christmas presents wrapped and ready to be put under the tree. I am very excited for Christmas this year. Normally I am not this pumped and ready for Christmas, but this year I am. Even though my brothers and my dad will not be home for Christmas this year I know it will still be a great holiday.

Christmas shopping for my family is quite hectic. I have eight siblings that I have to shop for (Amanda, JR, Matthew, Alaina, Vincent, Julia, Marisol, and Sarah). By November of next year I will have nine siblings! I will have another sister, Kelly. Sometimes it is nice having such a big family. But other times, like at Christmas, it is quite exhausting. It is nice because people are always around. I may not get to see my real brothers that much, but I do get to see my sister and my step siblings quite often. There is always someone to talk to about a situation or a problem. I have five sisters, so trying to find someone to have girl talk with is not an issue for me. Christmas is hectic at my house with my mom and stepdad having nine children. When we are all gathered around together in the family room on Christmas day it makes me feel happy to have such a big family. The house is never quiet when all of us are together at the house.

Christmas seemed both so far away and so close! One of my favorite things about Christmas is going to church Christmas Eve. Another one of my favorite things about Christmas is doing Advent. When I was little I was the one who always got to read the passages from the Bible while my brother lights the candles. Christmas is one of the few times of the year where we get to see almost all of our family members. I get to see all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, etc. Seeing so many of the faces I have not seen for a while brings a smile to my face. Seeing my family is another thing that I enjoy a lot about Christmas.

There are so many reasons for people to love Christmas. The things I enjoy most are church on Christmas Eve, Advent, and seeing my family.
