Winter is here and that means so many different things, from school events to holidays. High school basketball is in season now. The boys first home basketball game is on December 20th starting at 7:00 pm against California. Also the girls first home basketball game will take place on December 12th starting at 7:00 pm against Waynesburg. High school wrestling and rifle is starting up too. The first home wrestling match is on December 13th against McGuffey starting at 7:00 pm. Lastly, the first home rifle match is on December 8th starting at 3:30. Good luck to all the winter athletes.

The first thing I think about when I think of winter is Christmas. Jefferson Morgan will be on Christmas break from December 20th to January 2nd, but before break we are having a dance marathon in the gym the day we get out early. I am super excited for Christmas because I get to open my gifts, give gifts, eat lots of food, and spend quality time with my family. Every year for Christmas my mom’s family comes in and we all have Christmas dinner at my Grandma’s house. I am looking forward to all the delicious homemade food.  

My birthday is on December 22nd and I will be 18 this year. After Christmas is over that means the New Year is here. My New Year’s Resolution is to not stress so much. I am going to try to stay relaxed and go with the flow.
