Starting Fresh
This week is the start of the second semester. Some students will be changing into different classes. Since the first half of school is over and midterms are done, students will either starting working harder or slacking. Being a senior, there is always that saying “senioritis will kick in.” Well, I am starting to feel it. The past few years of high school I have loved the second semester because it was a little motivation to work harder and get better grades. It seems like I am starting to lose my motivation and some other seniors can agree with this.
“It being my last semester in high school is like a tease. It feels like we are so close to graduating, but yet we are so far away,” said Brooke Weir.
The worst thing about the end of the first semester for me is the lunch change. I will now eat at a later time and I am really upset about that.
One thing I am excited for is my new art class. I love drawing and painting and now I have it for an hour every day. Once this semester is over, I will no longer be a high school student anymore. The new chapter in my life will be college and that makes me very nervous.
Only two more nine weeks and it will be summer. All students should use this to their advantage and motivate them to work harder.
