Your Ears Deserve the Best
The Sony LinkBuds were released February 15th, 2022 at a starting price of 179 dollars.
Coming in black and grey, the Sony LinkBuds are the company´s smallest true wireless earbuds. They are 51% smaller in volume than the other Sony earbuds and weigh only 4.1g. The case is also smaller and lighter than the other cases for the Sony Earbuds and it is roughly the size of a ring box. The earbuds are good for running and have an IPX4 water resistance rating. You are able to control your music playlist just by tapping the earbuds while they are in your ear. The Sony LinkBud offers plenty of detail, excellent rhythmic accuracy, and a well balanced sound stage that allows every instrument in your favorite songs to come through with clarity. The 12mm drivers are fairly powerful, while Sony´s Integrated Processor V1 ensures your music sounds authentic with minimal distortion. The battery life of the Sony LinkBuds comes in at 17.5 hours, that is 5.5 hours from the earbuds and a further 12 hours from the charging case. A quick 10 minute charge will give you 1.5 hours of playback. Connectivity comes courtesy of Bluetooth 5.2. Android users can take advantage of Fast Pair for rapid connections with their devices, and the same goes for the Window uses and Swift Pair.
The downside to the Sony LinkBuds is that the ear buds are very uncomfortable and at the battery life is very poor compared to other earbuds. The earbuds are not noise cancelling so you can hear all surrounding noises and it makes it hard to listen to whatever you are listening to.
I think that the Sony LinkBuds will not sell well because there are a lot of downsides to the earbuds. There are a ton of other earbuds that are better and can even cost less. The regular air pods are roughly 100 dollars and they are better products.
