Paris is known for their Effiel tower and beautiful scenery, but they are also famous for its historical moment of the Statute of Liberty.

Back in 1776, the French gifted America the Statue of Liberty which everyone knows today. Auguste Bartholdi, a french designer, sculptured the Lady Liberty and expected it to inspire the French and call for their own democracy, freedom, and justice. The French gave this statue to America because they wanted to recognize America as a champion and encouraged the French to support the same ideals.

On June 17, 1885, the Statue of Liberty finally arrived in America. You can visit it today and walk through it, and you can go up to the crown to see the amazing view of New York City. Fun fact, the Statue of Liberty was originally copper but the statue had weathered over the years and changed its colors.

So, not only was the Statue of Liberty in America it is also in Paris. If you want to take a trip down to New York City, tap this Statue of Liberty, and if you want to visit the ones in Paris, tap this Statue de la Liberte.
