Darrow showed the board game to the Parker Brothers and years later they sold 5, 000 homemade copies. Before they even showed the board game they rejected the game due to “design errors” and then later in 1935 Monopoly become the best-selling game in America.On December 31, 1935, the board game Monopoly was patented and was translated into 37 languages. These 200 were licensed and localized editions and were sent to 103 countries.
