If ever visiting Utah and walking through the Escalante Petrified Forest State Park, don’t take any wood from the trees. The trees in the state park are petrified, this makes the wood agate and really pretty and cool looking. Don’t be fooled this wood is cursed. Taking the wood would only lead to bad luck, so looking and walking through the park has no effect, but taking the wood would lead to bad luck.

I would definitely check this park out because of how cool this would look. I do believe in bad luck and am not taking any chances to give myself bad luck. I would definitely be tempted to take a piece but it’s not worth the risk in my opinion.

People who do take the pieces of wood have lost their jobs, been in car accidents, fallen ill, been severely injured, and much more. Whether they knew about this myth is a mystery. Is this because taking something out of their home, where they turned into stone, is bad luck? Who’s to know? I definitely don’t.

I don’t think I’ll ever test this myth, but would definitely go and visit this forest.
