On Wednesday, March 27th, Fall Out Boy made their stop in Pittsburgh during their second leg of So Much For (Tour) Dust. They played in PPG Paints Arena and had support from CARR, Hot Mulligan, and Jimmy Eat World. It was a sold out show!
To put it into simple words, this concert was life-changing. We bought tickets back in the beginning/mid September and it felt like the longest wait of my life, but it was here before I even knew it. I got to attend the show with two of my best friends as well and it made the experience so much better. We absolutely splurged on merchandise but it was all worth it. They played so many great songs, including some of my favorites like “Bang the Doldrums”, “Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes”, and “Saturday”. Each night, they perform a surprise “magic 8 ball” song and the one they played for us was “The Music or the Misery” and it was the first time they had played it in 17 years! The view we had was also surreal and there was a part of the show where bassist Pete Wentz walked through the crowd and I was only a few feet away from him. At the end of the show, my friends and I quickly ran up to the front to take pictures and stuffed confetti in our bags like it was candy from a pinata.
The whole concert was truly a life experience and while I’m sad that it ended, I’m glad that it happened. Fall Out Boy is my second all time favorite band and I will definitely be seeing them live again the second they announce another concert date in the area.
