Why Students Should Have A Study Hall

More stories from Silvia Metz

Some students often get home late from games, work, or other activities and they do not have enough time at night to finish all of their work.

Students every year are always wishing that our school had an extra period like a study hall, because students are involved in after school activities and do not have time to get all of it done when they come home. A study hall would be beneficial.

Every student who is involved in sports, clubs, or work does not have enough time to study, get class work done, and do their homework and it’s an issue because homework , and class work, and also studying are all very important.

One of the students Kayla Pendland said “I would be more prepared and would get more done, if we had an extra study period.” She also thinks the reason why our school got rid of the study hall is “People weren’t making good use of it.

Some students do not always have time to finish things and they end up rushing to get it done so maybe by having a study hall could be very useful to everyone not just student workers and student athletes.

Another student Savannah Saeson said,“ I get home quite late. Most of the time from games I get home at 9:30 pm or later. Having an extra period would be very useful to me so I could get help from teachers if needed.”

My survey and poll for this only one person was against it but the other 95% of student’s were in support

When the student’s answered the survey question ‘’would It be beneficial to Have a Study Hall Why or Why not?’’ Most students responded that they would could get more work done.

In conclusion, students agree  it would be very useful to have a study hall so they could get work done; after all making sure your work is up to date in high school is very beneficial.
