Manners are something that aren’t valued in today’s society. People show few to no respect to others, we do not hold doors for other people, we don’t look at people when we talk to them, we do everything that we shouldn’t do. Even the people who grew up in the previous generations are like this. What has this come to that we can’t even hold open a door.

I just recently went out with a friend and his mother for lunch, he didn’t hold the door for the people behind us. My friend didn’t look at the waiter to tell her what he wanted. Before that his other was cutting people of, screaming at all the drivers on the road. I was sitting there thinking I shouldn’t be around these people.

I was separated from my sister for about a year, she lived in Kentucky, I was, well where I am now. I lived with our family so looking at them and just being with them I had learned to be respectful to even the people I don’t like. So I did, but when the summer had came I went to visit, I thought to myself, she one of the rudest people I have ever met. I do see a difference in people from the city and more, less the country. It’s amazing how much of a difference it can make just by being around the people who actually know respect.
