Mrs. Cochran Named September Teacher of the Month
Mrs. Cochran received the Teacher of the Month Award for September.
“Watching students grasp new concepts and helping students build self-confidence in things they don’t think they could accomplish inspires me to teach,” said Mrs. Cochran.
Mrs. Cochran teaches Special Education and Career Education. She enjoys working with all students and her fellow teachers.
“My favorite memory from teaching was when I had a student who was in my Special Education class, who is now graduated, come up to me and said that I have taught them skills and strategies to help with their disability, but I also taught them to believe in themselves, and they can accomplish anything they put their minds to,” said Mrs. Cochran.
Mrs. Cochran acknowledges that teaching is a lot of hard work, but as a career it is very rewarding. She can’t see herself doing anything else other than teaching.
