National Junior Honor Society
The National Junior Honor Society was held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Jefferson Morgan Auditorium.
Twenty-two new inductees took the oath of membership administered by teacher and advisor, Ms. Katie Caffrey. New inductees are: Randi Agnew, Luke Bates, Shelby Burkett, Nicholas Cyphers, Kambreigha Dudas, Caitlyn Dugan, Adia Eliam, Zackery Gamble, Autumn Gustovich, Bria Jamison, Lilian Ladisic, Dillon McGowan, Gavin Ostrich, Abigail Ozohonish, Megan Pecjak, Julianna Ray, Elijah Saeson, Colby Simkovic, Cole Tretinik, Jesse Wei, Tyler Wilson, Payton Wright.
President of NJHS, Carrington Teasdale, introduced Baye Summers, guest speaker for the evening. Baye is a member of National Honor Society and is ranked first in the class of 2015.
Members of NJHS elaborated on the cardinal principles of NJHS during the ceremony: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character and Citizenship.
Ms. Donna Furnier, Superintendent, welcomed guests and family members to the ceremony. Remarks were also given by Mr. Robert Mitchell, School Board Vice President, and Mr. Brandon Robinson, Assistant Principal.
Autumn Tedrow is a senior and a third year Journalism student.
Tedrow participates in volleyball and softball. She is a varsity volleyball captain.
