Madison Clayton is a sophomore and was selected as Athlete of the Week for the week of September 16th and the week of September 28th for her spectacular performance against Elizabeth Forward and Brownsville.

Clayton scored a hat trick against Elizabeth Forward winning the game for her team 3-0. “I’m honored to be titled Athlete of the Week, it shows that all my teams hard work has paid off,” said Madison. She also had a pair of goals in a rival game against Brownsville.

Besides being Athlete of the Week, Waynesburg Central is ranked #1 in their section. Madison has assisted the team with 20 goals in the past 9 games.

Madison is leading with the most goals scored in the WPIALs with a total of 20 goals. “I did not even know they had Athlete of the Week until they picked me,” said Madison. She was honored to receive the title and is looking for the rest of the season.
