Sheetz is known for their M.T.O (Made To Order) food, they have options of mainly American food. But not only is it a restaurant, it is also a gas station. Sheetz is only located in a few selected states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina.
Sheetz Inc. was founded in 1952 by G. Robert Bob. It started because he bought one of his father’s dairy stores located in Altoona. In 1961 Bob hired his brother Steve to work part-time. They then opened a second store in 1962 called “Sheetz Kwik Shopper.” After Bob made his brother a general manager, they both agreed to open one store every year. In 1973 they then added gas pumps and sold gasoline in Central Pennsylvania. But in 1981 Bob retired and his brother Steve became president. In 1995 Steve’s son Stanton became president and Steve moved to Chairman. To this day Sheetz remains a family business.
Sheetz has a variety of food, mainly American. But they range from salads, wraps, fried food, burgers, chicken, etc… It’s typically cheap to order from there, depending on what you order. The most expensive thing that they have on their menu is only about ten dollars. Wraps are typically around five to six dollars. All their samplers and appetizers are anywhere from three to six dollars. You can also get custom milkshakes, refreshers, and coffee from there. The drinks can get kind of pricey though.
Luckily Sheetz is just a walk in, get your food, and leave so you don’t need to make any type of reservations. Although if you want to get your food earlier, you can do doordash or order online for pick-up which comes in handy for a lot of people. It’s easy for people who may be in a rush. You can order offline from their website https://www.sheetz.com/. And if there is ever a problem that you want to call the actual store, you can call them at (724) 833-9312.
The nearest location around the area would be the two locations in Waynesburg, one by Walmart and the other by the First Federal bank. They’re both open for 24/hrs everyday, even on the weekends.
