“360” by Charli xcx, is the first track on her sixth studio album, “BRAT,” and was released as a single May 10th, 2024 through Atlantic Records.
When “360” was released, it was immediately met with positive feedback, as is any other Charli xcx single. “360” is a song that is about self-empowerment, written through the perspective of Charli’s own accomplishments as a female musician. “360” was released across all music streaming platforms, and for those who wanted to purchase it, it cost $1.29. “360” so far has been streamed over 100 million times.
“360” is a very inspiring song, one that makes the listener feel empowered and inspired by Charli’s story telling on the track. “360” has the classic electronic sound Charli herself is very known for, with her iconic auto-tune. The song itself is very basic with just a couple notes played on a synthesizer and bass synthesizer, which is what makes the song so catchy.
Overall, there’s nothing I dislike about “360” as I’ve listened to it countless times and have never gotten tired of it, the fem-energy and self-empowerment it gives off, everything about the song is absolutely perfect to me. Charli’s decision to make this track the intro track of “BRAT” was very well-made as it gives the listener the basis of what the album will be. Charli is a genius artist, making very unique sounding songs, completely different from normal pop songs that are also played on the radio.
Though “360” is an excellent song, Charli xcx has many other songs that are just as good as “360” and some that are even better than it. “BRAT” is an excellent album, though, maybe even one of her best she has put out. I recommend listening to the full album, and as well as every other studio album Charli xcx has put out.
