Last Friday the Rocket’s football team played against the California Trojans.
In the brutal battle between the football teams the Trojans won. The score was 48 to 21. Although we lost it was still a well played game. After the first quarter we were at a stand still with 0-0 on the scoreboard. The Rockets were tough to break through for the first quarter. During the second quarter there were 2 touchdowns for the California touchdown and 1 touchdown for the JM Rockets.
“I loved the effort of the boys, even though we lost the student section on fire”, says Kylie Webster.
After half-time and the amazing performances the bands performed, the score was 26-7 with the Trojans in the lead. During the third quarter the Rockets scored 1 touchdown, with the Trojans still in the lead, they scored 1 touchdown. The Rocket football team would not give in during the fourth quarter and fought for a comeback and a victory. Although they only scored 1 touchdown they made it to the end zone twice even though they only got 1 touchdown. The Trojans finished the game with 41 points meaning they scored 3 touchdowns. With the ending score of 48-21 the Rockets still won in our hearts.
